The Career Planning and Development Centre (CPDC) of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is committed to supporting students' career planning and job hunting by providing diversified programmes. Through our quality services, students are able to explore different industries, unleash their potential, and prepare themselves to be future-ready talent. Our leading services include:
Recruitment and Placement Activities
The Centre provides a wide variety of recruitment and placements services throughout the year, ranging from recruitment talks, networking events and careers fairs to online job portals (e.g. CU Job Link and Joint Institution Job Information System (JIJIS)). Through these services, students can understand employers' expectations of prospective employees, look for job opportunities and identify career prospects available to them.
Career Guidance and Enrichment Programmes
Career Guidance Programmes aim at assisting students in their career establishment. Within a self-driven framework, students may join workshops, seminars, and personality assessments under categories that fit their needs, develop their competitive edge, and further enhance their career readiness.
Experiential Learning Programmes
Experiential Learning Programmes complement academic faculties' formal curricula and nurture students' whole-person development. The Centre runs various activities, including offshore internship programmes and leadership development activities, for students to explore different things outside the classroom. All these opportunities are conducive to students' personal growth and professional development, helping them become global citizens.
Mentorship Programmes
Mentorship Programmes aim to provide precious opportunities for students to engage in supportive mentoring relationships with experienced professionals and senior executives. Through ongoing interaction and programme-level activities, students can obtain advice about career planning, broaden their professional knowledge and skills and build up useful networks for their future development.
Career Counselling Services
Individual or small group career coaching and consultation services are offered to students to help them realise their career aspirations and address their development needs. Students can also reach us on social media platforms for career advice and assistance. Feel free also to visit us at the Benjamin Franklin Centre, or connect us by email at cpdc@cuhk.edu.hk.
