Meet Professionals with International Work Experience

As an international job seeker, it is essential to equip yourself with overseas hands-on experience, knowledge of foreign work styles that differ from the local job environment, and cross-cultural awareness. Several executives with substantial international working experiences have joined us to provide individual advisory sessions that will be hosted on various online channels to students who plan to work or further studies abroad. Individual Career Counselling

All full-time students of accredited programmes of CUHK are welcome to book an individual career counselling session. The counselling session would be conducted at the Career Planning and Development Centre (2/F Benjamin Franklin Centre) and last for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. It could also be held on a virtual platform or by phone if deemed appropriate.

Important Reminder

To get the most from individual career counselling sessions, students are strongly recommended to work hand-in-hand with the career coaches by providing a resume with an attachment of a job advertisement (if any) and being punctual for the session. You may also create a list of career-related questions, e.g. How to polish my CV? How can I join the specific industries if my academic background is not relevant? How could I present my best during the group or individual interview? and take note of some important remarks listed below before scheduling a session.

·         Only shortlisted students will receive a confirmation email with further details

·         Students who do not receive our reply 2 working days before the requested appointment date may assume the request being declined

·         Seats are extremely limited. Priority will be given to students who follow strictly the application procedures

·         The coaching session is non-transferable and students are required to attend the sessions as assigned

·         For rescheduling or cancellation of the booking, students are responsible to contact us at least 2 working days in advance during office hours

·         Students who fail to show up without advanced notice at a reasonable time frame may be blacklisted and prohibited from participating in the guidance programmes or other services arranged by the Centre
